Krisztina will be returning to Salvador, Brazil on Saturday, September 1st. She will be bringing school supplies from Westlake Elementary School of Lakeview School District. We thank the Westlake Student Council for the dedication and initiative as well as Principal Mrs. Jennifer Harris for making this possible. The school's kind donation of folders, papers, pencils, crayons, erasers, pencil sharpeners, markers, glue scissors, rulers and small toys will be greatly appreciated in Pau da Lima.

The school is functioning every day with 25 children, who have a wonderful environment. The bathroom is finally done with a functioning shower, which has been a struggle over the last year. The school is decorated outside with beautiful paintings done by a local artist. We are planning a community meeting next Tuesday to create and solidify our future plans and directions. Currently we are in the planning phases of adult literacy classes with the local government due to their willingness to support financially a teacher weekly.
Bathroom as is. Work done by local builder. Outside the school with the Bahian and Hungarian flags.
